Our Mission
We rebuild the caregiving village, one parent, one child, one community at a time.
We create babywearing systems, education, and support that bring together community, ancestral wisdom, and evidence-informed care. Through the lens of Hunhu/Ubuntu—our relational biology, the understanding that we become through one another—we nurture parents with the same attunement, compassion, and integrity we hope they pass on to their children.
Babue exists to carry forward what many cultures have always known: children grow best when they are held close, by caregivers, by community, and by wisdom passed down through generations.

We honour ancestral practices like the Mbereko, the traditional African way of carrying babies close, and Kusungira, the village tradition of surrounding mothers with care before and after birth. These wisdoms are living blueprints for modern caregiving.
Learning & Evidence-Informed Care
Ancient wisdom, modern science.
We merge neuroscience, occupational therapy, biomechanics, and cultural knowledge to support the whole dyad: body, mind, and spirit.

We hold the parent so they can hold the child.
Before we speak to a child’s Hunhu, their sense of personhood shaped through relationship, we speak to the parent’s nervous system. A regulated, supported parent raises a regulated, connected child.

Our work extends beyond ergonomic carriers. Through the Ubuntu Carried Child Project, we reinvest in families, wisdom keepers, wells, solar initiatives, and integrated perinatal care—building the very village that sustains us.

We Were Never Meant to Parent Alone
